Technical Project Manager – Data Engineering & Analytics

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of 2–3 concurrent Data & Analytics projects.
• Define project scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
• Track progress, dependencies, risks, and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
• Coordinate across engineering, architecture, business, and data teams.
• Lead project governance, status reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
• Represent the Data Team in discussions with senior and middle management.

• About the Role
• We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong background in Data Engineering and Analytics projects.
• This is a techno-functional role requiring strong project management capabilities along with a solid understanding of modern data platforms. The candidate will manage multiple projects while working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership.
• 10+ years of Project Management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong risk, dependency, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of Data Engineering and modern Data Platforms.
• Good knowledge of:
• SQL
• ETL/ELT Pipelines
• Data Warehousing
• Data Integration
• Data Modeling
• Data Quality Frameworks
• Hands-on understanding of Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.
• Ability to review, troubleshoot, and debug code when required.
• Recent technical involvement in Data Engineering or Analytics projects preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
• Ability to confidently interact with senior leadership and business stakeholders.
