Computer Scientist - Fullstack
Responsibilities
- Build and integrate AI-powered features using LLMs and external AI services.
- Design and implement agentic workflows involving multi-step task execution, tool usage, and state management.
- Contribute to prompt design, evaluation, and iteration to improve quality and reliability of AI outputs.
- Implement basic guardrails, monitoring, and fallback mechanisms for production-grade AI systems.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven automation and user value.
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features across frontend and backend systems.
- Build scalable frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
- Develop backend services and APIs to support application and AI workflows.
- Ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability of systems.
- Participate in low-to-mid complexity system design discussions.
- Break down ambiguous requirements into clear technical tasks and deliverables.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and QA.
- Contribute to code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.
- Work within monorepos using Bazel and Rush.
- Use Git for version control and code reviews.
- Track work and execution using Jira in Agile environments.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing, and release processes.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Lit or other web component frameworks (React is a plus).
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM APIs into applications.
- Hands-on experience with multistage LLM pipelines – writing, debugging, and iterating system prompts for structured JSON output from models.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, asynchronous systems, and distributed services.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Understanding of secure and responsible AI practices.
- Independently delivers well-scoped features end-to-end.
- Writes clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Demonstrates good judgment in using AI capabilities effectively.
- Actively contributes to team velocity and code quality.
- Begins to mentor junior engineers and influence best practices.
- Build AI-first product experiences at scale.
- Work on modern web architecture + intelligent workflows.
- Collaborate with high-performing teams in a product-driven engineering culture.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Express, or similar).
- Familiarity with Bazel and Rush in large-scale codebases.
