Overview
Sony Research India is offering outstanding career opportunities around frontline technologies such as AI and data analytics. Interns will work closely with research scientists and other members in the team on various development and optimization tasks in speech, audio, textual, linguistic, and visual signal analysis.
Responsibilities
- Work on AI development activities daily including training, testing, fixing bugs
- Contribute to development and optimization tasks in speech, audio, textual, linguistic, and visual signal analysis
- Actively work on various tasks related to building robust models
Qualifications
- Pursuing or completed MS/MSc/MTech/PhD level degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Data Science, Information Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Applications or related technical discipline
- Strong knowledge and relevant programming experience with Python, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn and other ML/DL libraries for Multimodal AI tasks
- Expertise in Neural Machine Translation task using LLMs, especially in Low-resource languages
- Experience in finetuning and applying modifications to SOTA open-source LLMs
- Demonstrable skills of successfully applying SOTA DL models to multimodal problems employing combination of audio, textual and visual data
- Detailed understanding of network architectures, deployment modes, data augmentation and preparation, performance analysis of model architectures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with knowledge of algorithms, signal processing, mathematics for machine learning, probability, statistics and linear algebra
Nice to have
- Demonstrate research capabilities through relevant publication record in leading journals and conferences
- Impact driven mindset and ability to work and learn in a collaborative and diverse environment
- Programming knowledge of using data structure and OOP concepts proficiently in Python, C and C++
- Participation in Kaggle and other open-source grand challenge competitions
Education
- MS/MSc/MTech/PhD level degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Data Science, Information Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Applications or other closely related technical discipline
