Overview

Key Responsibilities include maintaining scalable infrastructure on AWS, container orchestration using Kubernetes and OpenShift, automation & IaC with Ansible and Terraform, CI/CD integration, monitoring & alerting for Kafka ecosystem, performance tuning, security enforcement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain scalable infrastructure on AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC)
• Deploy and manage Kafka microservices in containerized environments using Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Write and maintain IaC scripts using Ansible and Terraform to automate cluster provisioning, scaling, and patching
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins) for automated deployments and testing of stream-processing applications
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting for the Kafka ecosystem using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk
• Monitor cluster performance, optimize AWS resources and costs
• Enforce security best practices including RBAC, ACLs, TLS/SSL encryption, secure secret management
• Work closely with software engineers, data engineers, and architects to support integration of Kafka into enterprise applications

Qualifications

• 4+ years in DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure
• 2+ years focused on Jenkins, EKS pipeline
• Proven hands-on experience designing and managing infrastructure on AWS
• Strong proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift for deploying and scaling stateless and stateful applications
• Extensive experience writing playbooks and modules in Ansible for automated server configuration
• At least 2 years of experience with Jenkins, SonarQube
• Strong scripting abilities in Python or Bash
• Advanced Linux system administration, networking, and troubleshooting skills, especially with AWS VPC and Subnets
