Overview

Senior Software Developer role focused on developing various types of software including end-user applications and operating systems. This position involves detailed technical design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements gathering and analysis to understand software problem domains
• Write software code using programming, scripting, and/or database languages
• Consult with systems engineers and architects on IT standards for the business
• Facilitate translation of client requirements into technical designs for large IT solutions
• Model key business processes and critical paths while assessing technology impact on business processes
• Support software testing, deployment, maintenance activities
• Correct programming errors and respond to scope changes
• Code software enhancements
• Maintain records for documentation of systems development and revisions
• Review work of lower level professionals

Qualifications

• University (Degree) preferred but equivalent relevant work experience accepted
• Minimum 3 years required, 5 years preferred
• Experience in end-to-end software design, development, testing, deployment, and support
• Ability to interpret business requirements and develop solutions meeting business needs

Nice to have

• ETL (DataStage) experience
• Programming experience with Java or Python
• Experience in PySpark development
• Knowledge of different file formats like Avro, Parquet, JSON etc.
• Preferred experience within the IBM IIS application (IA, IGC, FastTrack modules)
