Job Description
Full stack Developer at Barclays to drive innovation in digital offerings using Java Spring Boot, Angular/React. Focus on backend services with emphasis on scalability, security, and performance. Located in Pune, India.
Responsibilities
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers to define software requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Participation in code reviews and promotion of code quality and knowledge sharing culture
- Staying informed of industry technology trends and contributing to organizational technology communities for technical excellence
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices ensuring proper code design, readability, and reliability
Qualifications
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot
- Strong understanding of Spring Framework including Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data, Spring Batch
- Hands-on experience with Hibernate for object-relational mapping (ORM) and JPA (Java Persistence API)
- Knowledge of SQL queries optimization for Oracle database
- Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger and Postman
- Hands-on experience with Angular/React frameworks
- Knowledge of Kafka or other message brokers for event-driven communication
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI
- Containerization using Docker, Kubernetes
- Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito
Nice to have
- Implement business logic and data access layers using Hibernate and Oracle SQL
- Ensure backend services are scalable, secure, and highly performant
- Design and optimize database schemas for Oracle
- Integrate with third-party systems and services via REST APIs
- Document code, APIs, and workflows for maintainability and knowledge sharing
