Overview
IFC - Full Stack Developer- AVP role at Barclays, where you will modernize Corporate Banking platforms by building dynamic, responsive, and reusable components.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and improve software using various engineering methodologies
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing
- Stay informed about industry technology trends and contribute to organization's technology communities
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability
Qualifications
- Experience in full-stack development with expertise in building dynamic, responsive, and reusable components
- Worked on Enterprise Case Management Life cycle applications involving backend server builds in Java
- Experience with Kafka or other message brokers for event-driven communication
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Spring Boot
- Strong understanding of Spring Framework (e.g., Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data)
- Strong knowledge of state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and React hooks
- Experience building cloud native Java backend components at enterprise grade based on Open Shift or AWS
- Experience building core API services used across wider teams
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and SQL
Nice to have
- Basic understanding of Camunda BPM for workflow orchestration and process automation
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of unit testing and integration testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Jest, React Testing Library)
