Overview
Senior AI Engineer – GenAI & ML solutions at CRISIL Ltd, a leading global credit rating and financial analytics company. The role involves developing and deploying state-of-the-art AI solutions using Generative AI techniques including RAG pipelines, Agentic AI systems, and fine-tuning foundation models. The candidate will work in Pune or Mumbai with a hybrid setup.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy advanced AI solutions using Generative AI techniques including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
- Design and build Agentic AI systems to automate complex decision-making workflows
- Fine-tune Foundation and Small Language Models (SLMs) for domain-specific content generation
- Build scalable AI workflows adhering to robust engineering and code quality standards
- Lead end-to-end AI solution development lifecycle from prototyping to deployment on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to translate business challenges into AI-driven solutions
- Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and research to keep the AI toolkit state-of-the-art
Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of experience in software engineering/development with a minimum 2 years specializing in AI/ML roles
- Deep hands-on expertise with GenAI technologies — RAG frameworks, agent-based AI design patterns, fine-tuning techniques for SLM
- Strong programming skills in Python with focus on clean, maintainable, and performant code
- Proven experience deploying AI/ML solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and scalable system design
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from premier Indian institutes in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical fields
Nice to have
- Having a public Github code repository or Kaggle profile
- Exposure to NLP, knowledge graphs, ML ops
- Capital Markets knowledge
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from premier Indian institutes (IITs, IISc, NITs, BITS, IIITs etc.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related technical fields
