Overview
AI/ML Systems Infrastructure Engineer needed to design cutting-edge infrastructure for AI systems that process petabytes of data and train trillion-parameter models. Role involves building scalable GPU clusters, optimizing utilization, automating ML pipelines, and leading hybrid infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Architect Scalable GPU Clusters exceeding 10,000 nodes
- Optimize GPU allocation algorithms, monitoring, and telemetry systems to achieve 90% efficiency across multi-region clusters
- Automate complex ML pipelines processing 100 petabytes of data
- Revolutionize model training to achieve 95% scaling efficiency and cut training times by 70%
- Engineer hybrid systems merging on-premise GPU clusters and cloud platforms like AWS and GCP with cloud-bursting capabilities
- Enhance reliability through disaster recovery systems, custom telemetry, and predictive failure mechanisms ensuring 99.99% uptime
- Push boundaries of data throughput by designing high-speed pipelines delivering 80GB/s per node
- Champion sustainability through innovative cooling solutions and power optimizations for high-density GPU deployments
Qualifications
- 15 years of experience in AI/ML infrastructure, including GPU cluster design and distributed training systems
- Proficient in CUDA, Kubernetes, Terraform, and frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
- Experience in building pipelines with exceptional throughput, reducing training times, and optimizing costs
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor teams in high-performance environments
