Overview
Senior Data Engineer at ACV Auctions, part of a newly formed team collaborating with data team members based in Ireland, USA and India. Responsible for improving technical quality of data-focused products, delivering new data pipelines, actionable insights, and enabling innovative product features.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable ETL data pipelines
- Work closely with engineering and business teams
- Collaborate across all brands to shape product direction
- Help shape technical design of platforms
- Solve complicated problems in elegant ways that are robust, scalable, and secure
- Contribute to tech stack evolution over time
Qualifications
- Experience at senior level with data engineering methods
- Worked with data-driven platforms involving transactions (e.g., eCommerce, trading platforms)
- Experience building high-quality products using various languages/solutions
- Knowledge of data engineering methods for technical performance
- Ability to track and measure quality throughout lifecycle
- Working with complex and varied problems
- Strong communication skills with product owners and business stakeholders

- Automotive industry expertise
- Experience with other similar tech stacks or tools
Education
