Overview
Second Line Data Engineer role at BT Group, supporting operational enablement and readiness of services offerings. The position involves delivering accurate, timely reporting and insights related to key performance metrics, supporting incident management and diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Support resolution of process and service issues by liaising with different teams and communicating key information
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting and related insights in respect of key performance metrics and operational efficiency
- Support incident management, prioritization, and diagnostics, escalating complex customer issues to operational managers
- Maintain professional relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Carry out Service Operations initiatives ensuring alignment with client business requirements
- Execute work in implementation of tactical strategies and improvement plans
- Support operational effectiveness of support services and maintain contractual and delivery documentation with accuracy
Qualifications
- Experience in delivering IT service management and support functions
- Strong understanding of customer success principles and relationship management
- Knowledge of information management and technology implementation processes
- Ability to work towards continuous improvement through problem-solving and change management
- Exposure to service level agreement management and quality standards
- Understanding of IT operations, including cloud computing platforms
- Effective technical support and business process improvement skills
- Incident management and issue escalation capabilities
