Overview
Site Reliability Engineer responsible for the availability, performance, monitoring, and incident response of platforms and services used by Shuttl. Works closely with Engineering team to own service availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
Responsibilities
- Work as Site Reliability Engineer responsible for availability, performance, monitoring, and incident response
- Own every aspect of service availability as well as disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Work with other SREs and report to the Lead of Site Reliability Engineering Team
- Get involved early in engineering process to provide guidance, recommendations and help with designing applications compliant with community standards like CNCF and 12 Factor
- Participate in planning, developing, testing & profiling, releasing and monitoring phases of software development lifecycle
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer or SRE
- Good grasp of Unix like systems, access control, networking nuances, process isolation by kernel features, distributed applications and algorithms, job schedulers and secret management
- Experience with Immutable infrastructure and AWS
- Knowledge of Hashicorp's Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
- Skillful in a programming language, preferably Python or Go
