Overview
SW Engineer- Devsecops-Security with 1-2 years experience. Responsible for ensuring application development and deployment processes are optimized, incorporate automation, are resilient and integrate security practices throughout the entire application development lifecycle. This role involves managing findings and exceptions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting security metrics and dashboard development.
Responsibilities
- Optimize application development and deployment for resilience and automation
- Drive coordinated management of findings and exceptions
- Facilitate triaging and ensure remediations occur or exceptions are filed
- Collaborate with developers, Security Architects, PEN testers, security assessors and governance teams
- Support development and delivery of security metrics (dashboards, reports)
- Collaborate across different locations for clear communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
- 1 - 2 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline
- Experience with vulnerability management
- Exposure to application development, software delivery lifecycle and/or infrastructure administration
- Awareness of DevOps and DevSecOps principles
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, protocols and standards
Nice to have
- Qualys experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of vulnerability scanners and agent maintenance
- Understanding of cyber threat terminology, vulnerability and penetration test methodologies
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical discipline (preferred)
