Overview

Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
- 4–6 years of experience delivering working software, preferably web applications
- Solid backend experience in Go, or another compiled language with willingness to ramp on Go quickly
- Comfortable working with AI coding assistants such as Claude or Cursor, including evaluating and validating generated output, not just producing it
- Database experience with Postgres, Redis/Valkey or similar
- Strong knowledge of immutability concepts, CSS and responsive design
- Working knowledge of A/B testing, feature flags and analytics development
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
- Writes clean, well-tested code
- Familiarity with at least one mature MV* framework
- Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset
- Good understanding of engineering best practices for SEO
- Stays current on emerging tools and proposes new processes and technologies to the team
- Enjoys a fast-moving environment where individual contributors are trusted to set technical direction
- Enjoys learning and sharing knowledge with coworkers
- Takes initiative in identifying and removing roadblocks
- Comfortable giving and receiving honest feedback
- Unafraid of failure
