Overview
Azure Data Engineer with 6-10 years of experience. Key responsibilities include ETL/ELT development, cloud architecture using Azure services, performance optimization, and data governance.
Responsibilities
- ETL/ELT Development: Architect, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines for large-scale data ingestion, curation, and transformation.
- Cloud Architecture: Design and deploy modern data warehousing and lakehouse solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and ADLS Gen2.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Data Governance: Enforce data architecture standards, security, and data lineage in alignment with organizational compliance.
- Collaboration: Partner with Chennai-based and global stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical data models.
Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake (ADLS), and Synapse Analytics.
- Solid understanding of Dimensional Modeling, Star/Snowflake schemas, and Delta Lake architectures.
- Experience with version control (Git) and implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
