Overview
As a Site Reliability Engineer at Clearwater Analytics, you will have the opportunity to own the observability platform end-to-end. This includes managing Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing tools like Open Telemetry. You will be responsible for establishing SLO/SLI frameworks and tracking SLAs across all systems and applications. Additionally, you will lead major incident responses as an incident commander, drive root-cause analysis, and implement systemic remediation programs. Responsibilities
- Own the observability platform end-to-end, including Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing tools
- Lead major incident response as an incident commander and drive systemic remediation programs
- Establish scalability, resilience, and security standards across AWS cloud infrastructure
- Design and maintain the Kubernetes (EKS) platform
- Define and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code standards using Terraform and Ansible
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
- Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities
- Mentor and grow mid-level and junior SREs
- Drive capacity planning, cost optimization, and contribute to the engineering roadmap
- Own the observability platform end-to-end, including Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing tools
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related roles
- Proven track record leading major incident response and driving post-incident systemic improvements
- Strong experience building and operating Observability stacks at scale
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and others
- Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction
- Deep expertise with Kubernetes in large-scale, multi-cluster production environments
- Proficiency with AWS services and Infrastructure-as-Code skills using Terraform
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms and GitOps workflows
- Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language
