Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, DBA, or infrastructure engineering roles
- Solid database administration experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL: provisioning, performance tuning, backup/restore, replication, and failover
- Linux administration skills (Ubuntu/CentOS/RHEL) in production environments
- Proficiency in scripting and task automation with Bash or Python
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for infrastructure and database issues
- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch) or other cloud platforms equivalents
- VM and hypervisor management (VMware, KVM, VirtualBox)
- Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership of projects
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Strong documentation practices and knowledge sharing mindset
- Proactive approach to identifying bottlenecks and solving problems before they escalate
- Desire to learn and adopt new technologies while maintaining existing systems
- Patient and methodical troubleshooting approach
