Overview
Contribute to software development, modernization, cloud adoption, and operational ownership. Work across a large existing codebase transitioning platform toward a modern cloud-native architecture based on Java, Spring Boot, React, containerized services, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support complex features in Java/Spring backend services and React frontend applications
- Deliver new business capabilities while improving maintainability, performance, and reliability of existing functionality
- Design and implement scalable APIs, integrations, and service-oriented solutions
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application, infrastructure, integration, and database layers
- Modernize large legacy Java monolith using incremental migration approaches and modernization patterns
- Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve architecture, code quality, and operational efficiency
- Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and implementation planning
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices, coding standards, automated testing, and secure development practices
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Support cloud-native deployments on Azure and/or AWS
- Participate in monitoring, observability, incident management, and root cause analysis activities
- Contribute to improving system reliability, scalability, and operational readiness
Qualifications
- Experience supporting production applications including incident investigation, performance troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational support responsibilities
- More than seven to eight (7-8+) years of professional software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications is a must
- Proven experience working within large, established codebases rather than exclusively greenfield applications
- Experience modernizing, refactoring, or migrating existing enterprise systems while maintaining production operations
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise application modernization initiatives where both ongoing business enhancements and production support responsibilities were maintained throughout the transformation
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration) and CI/CD tooling
- Degree or equivalent from a reputed institute
- Solid SQL skills and experience with both MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Strong proficiency in Java (8–21) with practical knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
