Overview
A Data Engineer for Application Support specializing in Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud) maintains cloud data pipelines, resolves system failures, and optimizes data workflows.
Responsibilities
- Production Support: Provide L2/L3 support to troubleshoot data integration, connectivity, and performance issues in IDMC.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor scheduled jobs, data loads, and ETL taskflows to ensure system availability and stability.
- Root-Cause Analysis: Investigate recurring data pipeline failures, data quality discrepancies, and system exceptions.
- Collaboration: Work with development and infrastructure teams to deploy fixes, test enhancements, and maintain technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Core Technology: Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC components, including Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Data Quality (CDQ), and Secure Agents.
- Database & SQL: Advanced SQL skills for data profiling, validation, query optimization, and defect analysis.
- Cloud & Warehousing: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud data warehouses/lakes like Snowflake or Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Process Knowledge: Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data governance standards, and Agile methodologies
