Overview
As the Lead Software Development Engineer at PitchBook, you play a pivotal role as the engineering voice for a stream aligned team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
- 8+ years in Software Development or Engineering roles.
- 8+ years of hands-on in Java/ Web-services / Spring / Spring Boot / react JS or any front-end framework.
- Full Stack Developer.
- Highly proficient in RESTful API design.
- Highly experienced working within a development team in an Agile environment.
- Ability to handle a project through the entire software development lifecycle, end to end.
- Demonstrate ability to lead and/or provide guidance to junior peers within the team.
- Familiarity with Container orchestration software (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Familiarity with architecture trade-off analysis methods and domain-driven design preferred.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, claude, Cursor, Continue, or similar code generation platforms to enhance development velocity and code quality. Drive adoption of AI augmentation practices across development teams while maintaining security and best practice standards
