Overview
Market Data Contract/Vendor Manager
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the London-based Market Data Procurement team, managing relationships with market data, exchange, benchmark, and analytics vendors across Trading, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams.
- Supporting vendor selection, contract renewals, commercial negotiations, and sourcing initiatives to ensure cost-effective service delivery and optimal commercial outcomes.
- Conducting licence reviews, usage assessments, benchmarking, spend analysis, and cost optimisation initiatives across the market data portfolio.
- Managing market data agreements, exchange licences, vendor contracts, Statements of Work, and related contractual documentation.
- Working closely with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, and Information Security teams to ensure contractual, regulatory, and commercial requirements are appropriately maintained.
- Coordinating vendor onboarding, due diligence, and third-party risk assessment activities.
- Supporting market data audits, licence compliance reviews, entitlement management, and the tracking of contractual obligations.
- Gathering and validating business requirements and ensuring licensing solutions align with business needs.
- Maintaining accurate contract, licence, vendor inventory, and governance records.
- Driving process automation, governance enhancements, and operational efficiencies across the market data function.
- Building strong relationships with vendors, business users, and senior management to support effective service delivery and decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, exchange requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Supporting the development of market data governance frameworks, controls, processes, and reporting capabilities.
- Undertaking other ad hoc duties as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant
- 3 to 10 years of experience in Market Data, including vendor management, market data administration, entitlement management, inventory analysis, or commercial management
- Strong reporting, data analysis, spend optimisation, and process improvement experience
- Familiarity with financial market data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG, FactSet, S&P Global, ICE, Morningstar) and data governance processes is an advantage
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities
- High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Commercial mindset focused on cost optimisation and business value
- Good financial acumen and data interpretation skills
- Advanced Excel and strong technology literacy
- Interest in financial markets and market data trends
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
