Overview
As a Data Science Engineer , you will bridge the gap between data engineering and data science, building scalable systems to analyze and deploy machine learning models that improve learner engagement, optimize learning paths, and deliver actionable insights to educators.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines to process large volumes of educational data, including student performance metrics, engagement analytics, and content utilization.
- Develop, deploy, and monitor machine learning models to support personalized learning experiences, adaptive assessments, and student retention strategies.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and educators to identify key challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Implement A/B testing frameworks to evaluate the effectiveness of content recommendations and learning strategies.
- Create tools and dashboards for real-time analytics to help educators make informed decisions.
- Maintain and improve the performance of data infrastructure, ensuring data quality, security, and governance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or data engineering roles.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or similar programming languages for data analysis and model development.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of database systems (SQL and NoSQL) and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of education-specific datasets, including learning management systems (LMS) data.
- Understanding of adaptive learning algorithms and recommendation systems.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Be part of a mission-driven team shaping the future of education.
- Work on impactful projects using cutting-edge technologies.
