Top skills in India tech job posts (2026)

This report lists skills tagged on active India tech job listings synced to FeedbackAI — not a consultant forecast and not a scraped “top 100 skills” invented for SEO. Counts are how often a skill appears on live JDs in our inventory. Rankings change as jobs sync. If a table cell says data is unavailable, use /career-insights rather than treating empty cells as zero. Cite the methodology below when you quote a number.

Who this is for

Candidates prioritising learning, hiring managers sanity-checking JD skill lists, and journalists who need a numbered source with a method — not a vibe chart.

Methodology

Limitations: tags are only as good as the JD. Duplicate postings and generic “Python” tags inflate popular languages. Glassdoor enrichment is unrelated to this table.

  1. Universe: active jobs on FeedbackAI that pass public listing recency rules.
  2. Skill = a tag on the job record (employer- or parser-supplied), counted once per job.
  3. Top skills = highest mention counts in the current snapshot.
  4. Rising skills = week-over-week count increase when a prior snapshot exists.
  5. We do not weight by company size, do not impute missing tags, and do not publish fabricated percentages.

How to use this with match scores

If a rising skill appears in your gap list on a job you want, that is a learning signal. If your match is already high, apply. Trends do not override a 48% match on a JD that needs a stack you do not have.
