Overview
Technical Specialist - MS, Security role at NTT DATA providing technical support to engineers and technicians who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex systems. The position involves first-line support failure response, product reviews, operational improvements, and client support.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug complex electro/mechanical or software issues
- Respond to situations where first-line support fails
- Report design, reliability, and maintenance problems to engineering teams
- Provide onsite field engineering services to clients
- Ensure assigned infrastructure at client site is configured, installed, tested, and operational
- Perform monitoring checks and respond to alerts
- Identify and log all incidents with required detail in a timely manner
- Assist in analyzing, assigning, and escalating support calls
- Investigate third line support calls to identify root causes of incidents and problems
- Report and escalate issues to third-party vendors if necessary
- Conduct monthly incident/service request reviews and recommend improvements
- Provide continuous feedback to clients and update systems as prescribed by NTT
- Proactively identify opportunities for work optimization and automation
Qualifications
- Advanced diploma, degree, or relevant qualification in IT/Computing
- Demonstrated experience in Engineering function within a medium to large ICT organization
- Demonstrated experience of Managed Services
- Demonstrated working knowledge of ITIL processes
- Experience working with vendors and/or third parties
Nice to have
- Ability to communicate and work across different cultures and social groups
- Ability to apply active listening techniques such as paraphrasing, probing for information, and refraining from interrupting
- Ability to maintain a positive outlook at work
- Ability to work hard and put in longer hours when necessary
Education
- Advanced diploma, degree, or relevant qualification in IT/Computing
