Overview
Security Managed Services Engineer (L3) is a seasoned engineering role, responsible for providing service to clients by proactively identifying and resolving technical incidents and problems. This position ensures zero missed SLA conditions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure assigned infrastructure at client sites is configured, installed, tested, and operational
- Perform necessary checks, apply monitoring tools, and respond to alerts
- Identify problems and errors prior to occurrence and log incidents in timely manner
- Assist in analyzing, assigning, and escalating support calls
- Investigate third line support calls for root cause identification
- Report and escalate issues to 3rd party vendors if necessary
- Provide continuous feedback to clients and affected parties
- Proactively identify opportunities for work optimization including automation of work
- Coach L2 teams for advanced technical troubleshooting and behavioral skills
- Manage and implement projects within technology domain
- Work on implementing and delivering Disaster Recovery functions and tests
Qualifications
- Seasoned managed services experience handling complex Security Infrastructure
- Experience in engineering function within a medium to large ICT organization
- Working knowledge of ITIL processes
- Experience working with vendors and/or 3rd parties
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing or demonstrated equivalent work experience
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP in Security, PCNSE, CCIE, CISSP
Nice to have
- CCNP in Security certification
- PCNSE certification
- Firewall Vendor related certification
- Advanced technical certification like CCIE or CISSP
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT/Computing
- Demonstrated equivalent work experience
