- Deliver application enhancements, bug fixes, and technology improvements for the Market Risk Time Series platform.
- Develop, test, deploy, and support Python-based services and data processing components.

- Investigate and resolve production incidents, data issues, and system performance bottlenecks.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to improve platform stability.
- Collaborate with business users, Market Risk teams, and quantitative analysts to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Support onboarding and maintenance of market data and risk factor time series across multiple asset classes.
- Improve data quality, monitoring, controls, and operational processes across the platform.
- Contribute to automation initiatives aimed at reducing manual intervention and improving operational efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, release management, and production support activities.
- Work with scheduling and orchestration tools to ensure reliable execution of platform processes.
- Follow SDLC, development standards, documentation standards, and change management processes.

- We are seeking a hands-on Market Risk Time Series Engineer with 8-12 years of experience to support, enhance, and maintain the Market Risk Time Series platform. This role is focused on delivering business and regulatory change through application enhancements, bug fixes, operational improvements, and technical modernization initiatives.
- The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Python, SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, along with proven experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms. The role requires an individual who can work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, analyze large datasets, and deliver robust solutions in a production environment.
- The Market Risk Time Series platform is responsible for sourcing, managing, and maintaining historical market data and risk factor time series across spot rates, curves, spreads, and volatility surfaces. The platform supports workflow-driven construction methodologies, proxy and backfill capabilities, shock generation, returns calculations, and data quality controls used in VaR, SVaR, stress testing, and risk capital calculations.
- The candidate will work closely with Historical Market Data, Market Risk, Risk Analytics, Quantitative Analytics, and Technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions supporting critical risk management processes.
- Strong hands-on programming expertise in Python.
- Extensive experience developing, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting Python applications in production environments.
- Strong expertise in SQL with experience writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of software engineering best practices, code quality, and testing methodologies.
- Exposure to SSIS and ETL development.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of Market Risk concepts and risk data management.
- Exposure to historical market data management and risk factor time series.
- Knowledge of VaR, Stressed VaR, stress testing, and risk reporting processes.
- Understanding of financial instruments, curves, spreads, volatility surfaces, and market data lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong ownership and accountability for delivery and production stability.
- Excellent troubleshooting and investigative skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to engage effectively with business and technology stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- 8-12 years of software development and enterprise application experience.
- Proven experience delivering and supporting mission-critical data platforms in production environments.
