Engineering Specialist - Applications and Software
Nice to have
- Have 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, ideally 6 to 9 years
- Have strong hands-on experience as a full-stack developer
- Have strong hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript and JavaScript
- Have hands-on backend development experience in Node.js and/or Java Spring Boot
- Have experience building and integrating REST APIs and backend services
- Have experience owning features end to end across frontend and backend/API layers
- Be comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Cline, Open Code, Claude Code or similar tools to improve development productivity
- Have a solid understanding of design patterns, frontend/backend architecture, clean code and reusable component development
- Have experience building performant, scalable and maintainable applications
- Have familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure or similar cloud platforms
- Have experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
- Have experience with unit testing, code reviews and code quality tools such as SonarQube or equivalent
- Have awareness of secure coding practices, SAST, DAST, OSS scans and vulnerability remediation
- Have experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
