I attended 3 rounds of interviews with Autodesk, Initial Hiring manager round which was very candid and conversational discussion on the projects i worked on in my company. 2nd round was system design round where the person was bound to his version of answers and went deep on AWS configurations appreciable but then i dint understand the concept on of the interview as we only discussed that and never the design. 3 rd as well was System design round where i was asked to design a migration of a website to a different hosting domain without any data lag. In the System design interviews i felt even though i gave correct answers they were bound to their version of correctness and rigged deeper on the topics.
Sample questions
I was qualified in all the 4 rounds of pure technical interview. After clearing all rounds I was waiting for HR discussion but got email from HR that I was not selected because they found that other candidate was more closer to their salary budget. It is completely demotivating to appear and clear all the rounds but finally they reject us.
Sample questions
Have hardly seen a more broken interview process anywhere else. No clear communication, felt like Recruiter and the the Interviewers are so bloated in pride that they look down on candidates. 1. Recruiter screening/Phone screeing : mostly on projects worked on and a general role skill fit. 2. Hiring manager round: Deep into resume and what exactly your contributions were, mostly felt again as a role skill fit. 3. LLD Round: This was taken by another Principal Engineer, which I feel that interview for a position should not be taken by someone at the same position or below. Was asked to implement LRU Cache. I explained the logic, and tried implementing it, but he kept on intervening every few seconds. Constantly pushed to use another Data Structure even after me using the correct one from the beginning. I could not complete the code but came up with a structure and logic. In the end, he just said, I think I asked a lot of questions. Post this round, I got a rejection mail along with a feedback form. I had written about the last round where interviewer did not allow me to perform. 4. Architecture round: Post the feedback, the recruiter again reached out that we had a de-brief and would like to move forward. And this was after they already rejected and I gave a feedback they came to just polish their records. This round was on designing a logging system that could be utilised from other systems. It went well, but as expected got a rejection mail in a few days. It was just an interview used to polish on the feedback I gave last time. Overall, it was a highly unprofessional candidate experience. Just shining a promising CTC does not make you a good company.
