Bain Capability Networks(BCN): It was a bit on the easier side, I would say. In Round 1, they asked me questions from my resume, like my introduction, projects, and why this CoE. After that, they asked me one guesstimate. They might ask you cases in this round as well, but in my case, they didn’t. The interview was around 40 minutes. Then came Round 2. In this round, they mainly asked me guesstimates, but towards the end, they asked me about AI. Yeah, I was the only one who was asked AI-related questions, including questions about Claude, like what an Artifact is and all. Since I wasn’t prepared for this, I got rejected in the final round. so basically the interview and your selection is based on your CoE if they have seats available in your CoE u get a fair chance.
The interview started with a brief introduction about myself and my professional experience. After that, the interviewer focused mainly on SQL. I was given a few SQL queries and asked to explain their outputs, and I was also asked to write queries based on specific requirements. There were also some general technical questions related to Node.js. During the discussion, the interviewer explained that they are specifically looking for someone who can take complete end-to-end ownership of a project. This includes understanding requirements and discussing them with stakeholders, designing and developing the solution, handling implementation, and taking responsibility for deployment and production support. The interviewer also asked several experience-based and behavioral questions, such as: What is something I have implemented that I am particularly proud of or enjoyed working on? What challenges or difficult situations have I faced in production? How did I identify and resolve production issues? How have I handled responsibilities across different stages of a project? In addition, I was given a Python code snippet and asked to determine and explain its output. Overall, the first-round interview was a combination of SQL problem-solving, basic Node.js and Python concepts, production experience, behavioral questions, and discussions around end-to-end ownership of software development—from stakeholder communication and requirement gathering all the way through development, deployment, and production support.
1 aptitude test - english was easy, quants was a bit time consuming Interview 1 - guesstimate + HR question (pretty chill) Interview 2 - case study + HR questions (with cross questioning) both case study and guesstimate will be according to the coe you apply for
Sample questions
Round1-20 aptitude question with 45 minutes Solved all in 30 minutes mostly p and c and normal logic Round 2-Casework+puzzle+guesstimate Solved caswork ez , guesstimate pain , puzzle took 1 retey Round 3- 3 puzzle Instant answer+guesstimate
R1 and then R2 .r1 is guess estimate round and round 2 is case round.mostly around media sector and then market entry case .overall you need to structure it properly
