Toxic Culture and Limited Career Growth, More Politics Than Product
Pros: Free coffee is a nice perk, but with limited workspace and leadership occupying individual cabins in a small startup office, finding a place to sit and work can be surprisingly difficult.
Cons: The company lacks strategic direction, operational maturity, and a clear long-term vision. There is a significant disconnect between sales ambitions and product or service readiness, resulting in unrealistic expectations and constant firefighting. Processes, documentation, and basic organizational structure are still underdeveloped despite the company's age. Leadership, particularly on the Management, would benefit from stronger execution, better people management, and greater accountability. Junior employees are often expected to take on disproportionate workloads with limited mentorship, recognition, or work-life while decision-making remains centralized and inconsistent. Career progression is unclear, appraisals lack transparency, and promotions do not always appear to be linked to measurable performance. Frequent changes in priorities, limited planning, and unclear goals make it difficult to deliver meaningful outcomes. Despite being positioned as an AI-focused organization, there is limited evidence of AI-driven practices internally or in customer delivery. The organization would benefit from investing in stronger governance, mature leadership, employee development, transparent performance management, and a culture built on respect, accountability, and sustainable growth rather than short-term targets Leadership at the highest level often came across as dismissive, confrontational, and unreceptive to feedback. Communication frequently felt one-sided, with little room for constructive discussion or differing viewpoints. This leadership style negatively impacted employee morale, trust, and collaboration.
