Diverse client exposure hindered by immature leadership dynamics
Pros: Atrium serves a diverse client base, providing employees with exposure to different industries, business needs, and professional experiences.
Cons: There is a noticeable lack of maturity among some senior staff. Leadership dynamics can feel cliquish and at times resemble a high-school environment, which can negatively affect communication, professionalism, and decision-making.

Supportive team with growth opportunities and flexible hours
Pros: I joined Atrium as a Payroll Analyst and I’ve felt like more than just a set of hands on a deadline. A few things stood out to me.
The team and my manager. Payroll is a function where things can go sideways fast, and what matters is who’s next to you when they do. My manager is direct, gives real feedback, and shields the team from noise instead of passing it down. Questions get answered without making you feel silly for asking.
Work-life balance. Close weeks are busy, that’s the job, but outside of them the hours are genuinely reasonable. There’s flexibility when you need it. WFH, PTO doesn’t come with guilt attached, and nobody is measuring you’re online at 7pm.
Growth. I’ve been given room to take on work beyond my job description. Process improvements, system knowledge, cross-functional projects, etc. There’s a real path here if you raise your hand.
Pay and benefits. Compensation has been fair and competitive for the market, and the benefits package is solid.
Cons: Some processes still lean on very manual steps, but the company has just implemented a possible fix for that!

Once a great place, now a caustic, sinking ship
Pros: When I first joined, it was genuinely an incredible place to work. Managers were kind and human, focusing on development rather than consequences. It was really such a special place a few years ago.
Cons: Everything has changed. A few new managers came in and completely shook the place up. Brought in a caustic, cut throat atmosphere that has completely destroyed the life force of the company over the last year. And it’s getting worse. No longer a people first firm at all, not to candidates and especially not to employees, they’ve made a mockery of the applicant centric approach they were founded upon. If you’re considering working here, please, heed this warning: It is a sinking ship, high stress, no work life balance and has brought a culture of shaming instead of coaching. I know on here there are fantastic reviews but in the last year it has been completely destroyed. More employees current and former need to speak the recent truth here to warn others.
