Leadership disconnect despite good people and perks
Pros: Good people, Good Office, good perks
Cons: Everything.
Credit where it's due: the Indian leadership and the UK leadership are perfectly aligned. Just not with anyone who does actual work.
The operating model is elegant. Dangle a carrot in front of every employee. Never define what the carrot is. Never commit to when it arrives. Then hold a town hall to congratulate everyone on how motivated they look while reaching for it.
What's genuinely impressive is the confidence. Leadership is certain that every single employee feels a warm, personal bond with them. Nobody has corrected this — partly because the people who said it out loud are no longer on the org chart, and partly because no skip-level has ever been scheduled to hear bad news.
Working under the Indian leadership feels like India during the Emergency. Officially, things have never been better. Discipline is up. Delivery is up. The press — sorry, the engagement survey — reports overwhelming satisfaction. Dissent hasn't gone anywhere; it's simply been reclassified as "attitude issues" and "not a culture fit." And if anyone complains, there's always the standard defence: yes, but look, the sprints are closing on time.

Cons: The organization lacks a clear long-term direction. Strategic priorities seem to shift frequently, making it difficult for teams to build momentum or confidence in the company's future. There is a strong focus on rebranding initiatives and the latest industry trends, while important areas like career development, technical excellence, and employee retention often receive less attention. The frequent organizational changes create uncertainty rather than progress.

Highly rewarding internship at ClearRoute
Pros: Great company culture with transparent communication. Interns are trusted with meaningful work, giving you the chance to contribute see yourself getting experience from live projects.
Cons: Project timelines can be fast-paced, which requires quick adaptation, but it ultimately makes you a much better developer.
