I would like to share feedback about my interview experience for the Manager, Dashboards & Reporting role. I found the interview disappointing, particularly because the level and style of questioning did not seem aligned with the seniority of the role. I had already completed an Excel assessment, and I was told the interview would discuss those questions, alternative approaches, and my thought process. Instead, much of the discussion became rapid-fire, textbook-style questions such as the definition of “Dim” in VBA, SUMPRODUCT limitations, and different types of Excel charts. Technical questions are certainly relevant for this role, but I expected more emphasis on how I would apply these tools to solve business problems, build scalable solutions, automate processes, validate data, manage stakeholders, and present insights to senior leadership. The interviewing style also made the experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. The rapid succession of questions and repeated follow-ups often felt more like testing specific expected answers than understanding my reasoning. Some questions, particularly around VBA and Power Automate, also felt overly focused on tool-specific details rather than solution design. I was also surprised by the limited discussion around managerial capabilities such as stakeholder management, prioritisation, handling ambiguity, ownership and executive communication. Given the responsibilities outlined in the JD, I expected these areas to form a significant part of the discussion. Overall, my concern is not that the interview was technically challenging, but that it felt more like an entry-level technical screening than an assessment for a Manager-level role.

There are 3 rounds overall, first round will be on project, pyspark and sql. Second round is production scenarios, basics concepts and third round is with director which will be techno-managerial

The interview process was good was not expecting reasoning questions, but overall it was a very good experience. The interviewer was very responsive and liked the process of the interview; the recruiter who scheduled the interview was also very polite and professional .

Worst. They made me wait for an interview and kept rescheduling it for days. It finally happened because I put my foot down and told the TA that I'd taken a half day for this buffoonery. This just made me anxious and perform badly.

Got till the technical screening process didn't expect it to be a technical round itself Asked me tough questions from SQL and python and some behavior based questions as well Waiting for next round of face to face interview
