View on GlassdoorPros: - 8 years ago, when I started, this was a great company. -Compensation is OK (at best) -Pretty flexible WFH options, especially post COVID, but depends on manager or functional team
Cons: - Where to begin? I expect to be let go after our acquisition, so I'll speak my mind. - CEO and almost the entire senior management are toxic (screamers, abusive behavior, hostile environment). HR is aware of certain people and nothing ever happens. Every leadership all hands call starts with the CEO talking about "core values;" it's just all talk and no substance or actual enforcement. Leadership is totally clueless about how to run the business. The company has lost a lot of talent because it's just not worth dealing with the personalities. It's not like it was working since the company is losing money! - Extremely high turnover over the last 4-5 years. So many good members of my team have left and are making more money at better-run companies. - Very expensive insurance that seems to just keep increasing (3x as expensive as my spouse's, who also works at a similarly sized company) -Strategically rudderless. Lots of very bad acquisitions that we then turn around and sell for losses. The company was just sold to a PE firm, so expect a lot of turnover. -Compensation for certain senior executives is outrageous. Bad people keep getting promoted while talent is overlooked and understandably leaves. Why are they paid so much running the company into the ground? -HR team is completely useless. Payroll issues, telling employees wrong information, and technical mistakes. Totally unacceptable for our company of our size. -So much wasteful spending. McKinsey, compensation for higher executives, environmental/sustainability team, etc. I do not understand how we can afford these things when we are not making money.
