Toxic environment with hypocritical management and mistreatment
Pros: Nothing except for two or three workers who knows the value of teammates
Cons: This company appears to operate with a significant level of hypocrisy, enforcing rules and regulations primarily when they serve its own interests rather than those of its employees. On the very first day of joining, employees are required to surrender their mobile phones and are only allowed access to them during break times. Workplace mistreatment and abuse are common occurrences within the organization. Employees are often pressured to participate in social activities such as pub nights, nightclub outings, and cricket games. Those who choose not to attend may face penalties, including deductions equivalent to three days' salary. The company also fails to provide adequate compensation relative to employee expectations and contributions. The manager is highly political in his approach and frequently judges employees unfairly. There is also a senior developer, whose name begins with the letter "P," who is considered a central figure in the workplace politics. Despite lacking sufficient knowledge of his own responsibilities, he routinely shifts blame onto others whenever mistakes occur. He frequently insults employees by making inappropriate remarks about their personal lives, including comments involving their girlfriends, parents, and other close family members. These remarks are often humiliating and disrespectful. Female employees are not exempt from such behavior and are also subjected to humiliation. Employees who speak up against this conduct risk retaliation. Concerns raised against him are reportedly misrepresented to the owner, often resulting in employees being accused of poor performance or being terminated. There is an expectation that workers should tolerate such humiliation in silence. He maintains a close relationship with the owner and is supported by several individuals who actively contribute to and encourage the toxic political environment within the company. Additionally, the two managers responsible for the cold-calling teams are also described as toxic and prone to abusing their authority. While the company is willing to spend money on parties, picnics, and social events for employees, it shows little interest in addressing basic workplace necessities such as functioning air conditioning, clean toilets, and adequate drinking water facilities. Anyone considering employment with this company should exercise extreme caution. Based on these experiences, the work environment is highly toxic and may have a serious negative impact on an employee's professional and personal well-being. I would suggest never to go to this company.
