Great Place to Learn and Grow Professionally
Pros: Good work-life balance, supportive colleagues, flexible working arrangements, and opportunities to work on a variety of international projects. Strong focus on learning, collaboration, and professional development.
Cons: As a growing global organization, processes and decision-making can sometimes take time, but this helps maintain quality and consistency across projects.
Work life balance exists but poor team structure creates frustration
Pros: Okay work life balance, good in hand salary compared to other companies.
Cons: The team is not well structured, with several wrong hiring decisions leading to skill gaps that existing team members are expected to address. Workload is also not distributed fairly some people are heavily overloaded while others have very little work, with limited transparency on who is handling what. A large share of projects often ends up with the people who perform well, leading to burnout and frustration. There is also a perception of workplace favouritism, and employees may hesitate to openly disagree with seniors even when they are wrong. Ratings for reportees are decided by managers rather than their direct leads, which can sometimes result in deserving employees being underrated. Most projects are similar and offer limited opportunities to learn, while the organisation is slow to adopt newer technologies and often continues with outdated tech stacks and licenses.
The company provided insurance experience has been poor, with claims not being settled properly and limited support from HR during the process.
Great exposure to diverse projects, but pay could improve
Pros: Strong exposure to infrastructure advisory, project monitoring, lender's technical advisory (LTA), and consulting assignments across diverse sectors.
Cons: Compensation may not always be fully aligned with market benchmarks for niche advisory and consulting roles.
Pros: * Work flexibility is good especially hybrid work culture
Cons: * The annual salary hike is only 3% to 5%, regardless of your performance.
You never know when you might be laid off due to management's poor project planning and forecasting.
*You do not receive any goodies or sweets for festivals or annual celebrations. The items provided during onboarding are the only ones you will receive.
* Internal politics are at their peak.
* There are no team outings or employee welfare activities; it's just work, work, and more work.
* Career growth is very very slow.
I recently went through an interview process that left me quite disappointed and concerned about the overall candidate experience.
During the initial discussion, I was repeatedly asked to share my salary expectations, even after I requested the company’s range for the role. I clearly communicated my minimum requirement and mentioned that I would be interested only if that could be met. However, I was told that compensation details could not be disclosed before the technical interview.
After about a week, I was contacted again and presented with an offer that was significantly below the expectation I had already shared. Despite this, I chose to proceed with the interview process to gain experience.
The technical interview itself was conducted by a senior member of the team. Unfortunately, the interaction felt uncomfortable and discouraging. Instead of focusing on skills and experience, there were moments where my professional background seemed to be questioned in a way that felt dismissive. At one point, I was even asked how I had secured a previous role, which came across as undermining rather than constructive.
Overall, the experience highlighted a lack of transparency in compensation discussions and a need for more respectful and professional engagement during interviews. I hope this feedback helps improve the process for future candidates.
