Great Learning, Strong Technical Exposure & Professional Growth
Pros: My experience at Tata Consultancy Services has been very valuable for my professional growth. I got the opportunity to work on enterprise-level projects, collaborate with experienced teams, and gain hands-on experience with technologies like Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, SQL, and CI/CD. The organization also provided exposure to structured development processes, client requirements, and working in a large-scale corporate environment. Overall, TCS helped me strengthen both my technical and professional skills.
Cons: One challenge was that, being a large organization, some processes can be relatively structured and time-consuming, especially approvals, internal processes, and project changes. In some projects, there can also be limited flexibility in choosing technologies or taking ownership of certain decisions because of established processes and client requirements. However, these experiences also helped me become more adaptable and process-oriented.

Good benefits and learning, but strict WFO policy
Pros: Lot of employee benefits are there. Health Insurance is very good, lot of learning opportunities are there and you will get rewarded as well but you need to put effort in achieving them.
Cons: Most project has strict 5 days WFO policy. WLB depends on the project and can't be generalized.

Good Technical Exposure with Slow Career Growth
Pros: Good exposure to AWS, Kubernetes, OpenShift and DevOps tools. Opportunities to work on enterprise-scale production environments, troubleshooting, automation, monitoring and incident management. Supportive team members and opportunities to learn new technologies.
Cons: Compensation growth can be slow compared with market opportunities and increasing responsibilities. Career progression may depend on project availability and internal processes. Work-from-office requirements can also reduce flexibility for some employees.

The interview panel consisted of three people. 1 was from technical background, 1 was from managerial background and 1 was from hr background. The interview lasted around an hour. The technical one asked me questions about the projects I had listed in my resume and probed me for the approaches that I had taken. The managerial one asked me about the conflicting opinions in a team environment and how I would handle it. As for HR, he asked about my future goals and where I see myself in the next 5 years.
