Pros: None since last two years- can see the downgrade since last 7 years; From India's No1 Great place to work to now one of the worse places to work

Cons: USED to be great place to work, most of nice and approachable management either resigned or got terminated, same for employees, no opportunities to grow, managers have started to micromanage, earlier there were many perks and management was employee centric now they just treat employees like slaves.

Great work-life balance but leadership is lacking direction

Pros: The company offers an excellent work-life balance, and its HR policies are significantly better than those of many other organizations. The wider team is extremely understanding, supportive, and pleasant to work with, creating a positive and collaborative work environment. Overall, it is a great place for employees who value flexibility, strong people practices, and a respectful workplace culture.

Cons: The company has changed significantly over the past few years, and not for the better. The current leadership lacks alignment with the organization’s core values, and there is a noticeable increase in micromanagement across teams. Instead of focusing on employee development, career growth, and long-term capability building, much of the emphasis appears to be on increasing office attendance and enforcing return-to-office expectations. Decision-making often feels inconsistent, and there is a growing disconnect between leadership and employees. Job security has also become a major concern, which has affected morale and trust within the organization. This used to be a great place to work, but many employees feel that the current leadership direction is gradually eroding the culture that once made the company stand out.

The interview process was for an internal Business Support team, so the focus was more on problem-solving, communication, and practical data analysis than on difficult coding questions. The process began with a take-home assignment. I was given a dummy employee feedback dataset containing information about why employees chose to stay with or leave the company (push and pull factors). The dataset included open-text responses, so I built an NLP pipeline in Python to analyze the text, extract keywords, identify common themes, and perform sentiment analysis. I then created an interactive Tableau dashboard to visualize the findings, including keyword frequency (word cloud), sentiment trends, and other insights that helped explain the main drivers of employee retention and attrition. The next round consisted of a presentation to the hiring manager and a software engineer. I walked them through my approach, explained the NLP workflow, demonstrated the Tableau dashboard, and discussed the insights I had derived from the data. The discussion focused on my methodology, design decisions, and how I translated raw data into actionable business insights. Following the presentation, the interview transitioned into a mix of technical and behavioral questions. The technical discussion was primarily based on my resume and previous projects, where I was asked to explain the technologies I had used and the reasoning behind my solutions. The behavioral portion focused on situational questions and how my experiences aligned with the company's core values. Overall, the interview was straightforward and well-structured, with a greater emphasis on analytical thinking, communication, and the ability to present insights effectively rather than solving complex algorithmic problems.
