Kraftshala is on a mission to help a million students launch their careers in marketing, sales, and more. We’ve already helped thousands of students launch their marketing careers in companies like Performics, Sokrati, GroupM, Nykaa, Tata Cliq, Coursera and are looking to add hundreds of thousands more in the coming decade.
Kraftshala is backed by a number of eminent investors including ex-unicorn startup founders and CXOs of global giants.
At Kraftshala, we believe that higher education in India and across the globe lacks accountability to the students they are meant to serve, in large part because the people working in the system aren’t provided meaningful incentives to improve career outcomes for students. It’s also what keeps the best industry practitioners from getting involved in training, and in turn, perpetuating a culture of mediocrity.
We are trying to change that around by building pay-after-placement programs that ensure our students are trained by industry experts who are passionate about injecting care in the higher education ecosystem.

What do we value (the Kraftshala Kode):
Like all good companies, we value integrity, excellence, respect, inclusion, and collaboration. Our team’s distinctiveness comes from the following:
- We seek a user-centric, value-additive mindset. People who start with the user and work backward, and take every opportunity to add value to their customers/ partners fit right in.
- We believe speed matters enormously in business. We value people who have a bias for action and are willing to take calculated risks in the face of uncertainty.
- We value problem-solving skills. We look at problems objectively, solve for root causes, make decisions for long-term good instead of short-term gain, and don’t let processes get in the way of value addition.
- We look for learning agility. We are a team of learners who like to read, talk to experts, and seek critical feedback to be better today than we were yesterday.
- We respect ambition & courage to take on large goals. Self-starters who demonstrate high ownership strengthen the backbone of our team.
- We expect consistency and reliability. Predictability just makes everyone’s life a lot smoother.
- We like people who are real and open in communication, while still being empathetic.
- We are practical optimists. Our team strongly believes in a better future & we enjoy playing our part to make that future a reality.

Great learning opportunities with a supportive culture, but fast changes
Pros: 1) The learning opportunities are excellent, and senior management is supportive.
2) The company gives you time to adapt and offers various opportunities to learn and pick up new skills.
3) There is zero office politics, and the internal culture is very good.
4) Generally, sales roles in the EdTech sector involve a lot of pressure, but this company is genuinely good—they give you enough time to learn the ropes
Cons: Since the company is growing, there are frequent changes. you sometimes need to adapt quickly, or else you might get left behind.
Pros: -Real ownership from early on, you're actively part of actual decision making, not just executing it passively
-Exposure to how a startup builds things from scratch
-Varun (CEO) often interacts with you to understand your work and often gives you works directly, which means real accountability and a chance to learn from him closely
-Strong learning curve
Cons: Work hours are officially 10-7, but in practice they extend well beyond that given the nature of the role, and weekend work is fairly common too, some structure here would help make the pace more sustainable over time
Pros: If you are someone who wants to learn how to work and excel in ambiguity, unstructured problem-solving, and taking ownership, this role is really helpful. It pushes you to figure things out rather than just follow a defined process.
It has helped me take my communication and influencing skills to the next level, especially when working with different teams and stakeholders.
You get exposure to different kinds of problems, so the work doesn’t become repetitive. You are constantly learning something new.
There is a good amount of freedom to experiment and try different approaches, especially when you are working on improving a process or solving a new problem.
Overall, I feel the role has helped me become much better at thinking from a problem-first perspective, rather than just executing tasks that are already defined.
Cons: I would like to get more cross-domain exposure beyond academics. This was something we had planned as well, but because there is still a lot of dependency on me for academic work, I don’t always get enough time to pick up problems in other areas like marketing, product, growth, etc.
My last 3 years of experience were largely in marketing, and I would ideally like to stay connected to that space as well. Right now, I don’t get enough time to stay updated or solve enough real problems there.
I chose this role knowing that this could happen because one of my biggest reasons for taking it up was to improve my problem-solving, communication and influencing skills, and I do feel the role is helping me with that.
At the same time, I think cross-domain exposure helps you build better perspectives. Working on different kinds of business problems makes you more well-rounded and helps you bring learnings from one domain into another.
Great learning opportunities in a fast-paced environment
Pros: Good learning opportunities and early ownership of responsibilities. The work provides exposure to different stakeholders and helps develop communication and problem-solving skills. Suitable for people who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Cons: Since it is a fast-paced environment, managing evolving priorities can sometimes be challenging.
Business Development Executive· New DelhiCurrent employee4.0/5
A great place to learn, grow and build your skills
Pros: Working in the Business Development team has been a really good learning experience for me. You get to speak to a lot of different people every day, understand their goals and concerns and help them figure out what could be the right career move for them. It has helped me become much better at communication, counselling, handling objections and understanding sales.
The team is supportive and there is always someone you can reach out to when you need help. I also like the amount of ownership you get in the role as in your efforts directly reflect in your results. The environment is fast-paced but that also keeps things interesting and gives you a lot of opportunities to learn.
Cons: The role can get hectic at times, especially during busy admission cycles. Since it is a target-driven role, there can definitely be pressure to perform and keep up with follow-ups. It can take some time to learn how to manage the pressure and maintain consistency.

The interviewer asked me to sell the product to her and asked why I wanted to join sales. It was a good experience to learn all together. But she asked certain questions that were difficult to answer as a fresher. Freshers must be given a chance to prove their worth.
